A lovely French brass mineral oil lamp from the 40s / 50s. It is really pretty with some nice curves and quite heavy. It is stamped in the back with the maker. This lamp has been modified to be used as an electric lamp and has a small hole in the bottom which cannot be seen when the lamp is upright. Because of this hole, it cannot be used as an oil lamp and I am selling it as a decor piece only.
We bought it during our last antique buying trip in Provence. We have cleaned it, so it is shiny and could be even more with some additional elbow grease. A great addition to a shabby chic or country decor.
Condition: This vintage lamp is in fair vintage condition as seen on the pictures with limited markings. It does have 3 small dents on the top. The metal part which attach the chimney is a little bit bent. We received this lamp damaged with the top chimney broken, so we fixed it the best we could do. Still a very pretty lamp.
