1930s French Set of 4 Tin Nesting Canisters - Lustucru Checkered Pattern - Cream and Blue

A very old set of 4 French kitchen tin nesting canisters made in the 1930s. This checker design was (and still is) very popular in France, and is known as 'Lustucru' named after a pasta company which used a checkerboard design on their packaging. These canisters were premium or incentive received by consumers for buying Lustucru products. Lovely and nostalgic french country decoration.

The 4 canisters were designed to store from the largest to the smallest: Flour, Coffee, Chicory, and Pepper

Condition: These canisters are in vintage condition as seen in the pictures. For decor only.

Flour Canister (largest) : 6" (15 cm) H x 3½" (11 cm) L x 3" (8 cm) W

Pepper Canister (smallest) : 3½" (8 cm) H x 2" (5 cm) L x 11¾" (4 cm) W

Total weight : 15.2 oz- 430 gr
